Farewell Bashes

I was honored to have 2 bashes (parties) in 1 day. YES, I am popular and appreciated.

My first bash was thrown by the Fajina Ladies. It began at 8am. When I first arrived I was not sure the party was going to happen. The ladies were carrying on as they usually do. Eventually I began to sing to myself "L is for the way you look at me. O is for the only one I see. V is very very extraordinary." At this point all of them looked at me and the bash began. This consisted of caldo and boiled beans/masa an soft drinks. I gave each lady the little thought I put together plus donated my clock and a lovely board of pictures (Thanks Kevina). They all gave me tiny baskets and other crafts they had made. It was a special moment.

The sign made for the ladies-to always remember me!

My second bash began at 7pm. Luckily I had all afternoon to rest from the first one. Alice put together quite the party for me. Full of Garifuna Drummers, BBQ chicken, Alice's wonderful potato salad and DANCING. Check out the video of Leeshe (3 year old) dancing!
Lovely poster and notes for me

  1. Leeshe is sooo cute, who is her mom? Anyway looks like a fun time was had by all. I think your explanation of how the Fajina ladys really did not know how to start a party...shows how unparty type of people they really are. And what a hoot, you needed the whole day to recover! Ha! You have broght a lot of life to that place Ercia, I'm so proud of you!
