Belize Zoo and Blue Hole

I had a wonderful day at the Belize Zoo and Blue Hole

I thought this was a cute sign in the park!

Here you can see the eagle and how big and powerful it is

The Zoo was completely covered with beautiful plants, this was a really awesome looking path

Here is a video of the howler monkeys, they sound like dinosaurs

Here is the entrance to Blue Hole. We first went to the local cave.

This video is of ants that cut up leaves and feed it to a fungus to feed off of themselves

This is the group right before heading into the dark cave. We hiked in about 300 feet. It was very muddy and dark.
Here is me after the cave, completely covered in mud, not sure how that happened.

It was now time to clean up and cool off in the Blue Hole. It is a river that is under ground but comes above ground to form this pool of water. It was perfect to swim in.

My New Style

My New Hair Style
My lovely neighbor, Ms. Marina twisted my hair last night to create this master piece of art. I thought that some of you might enjoy seeing how different I look. :)

I am still doing well, 1 more week until I found out my final site placement. I am so excited to find out exactly where I will be placed and with what organization!
