Library Summer Camp this year was a huge success! The Library partnered with Plenty Belize and Proworld Belize for our two week AGRICULTURE themed camp. We focused on basic computer skills, agriculture skills, reading and of course arts & crafts. There was a lot of hard work and planning that went into it, all for the 26 kids!
First Day
Celine learning how to use Microsoft Word
Me and Elzena (Librarian and Belizean Bestie!)
Getting their craft time on
Love to see this-CHILDREN READING!
Preliminary design for herb garden in front of the Library.
Beautiful sign, created and colored by all the kids
Healthy snack time. He got 2 bananas in 1.
Elzena, me and the kids (aren't their shirts great?)
Time to get dirty. Working on the herb garden.
Which is bigger, the boy or the tool?
Planting the delicate herbs.
Herb garden completed
On the last day of camp we were able to take a field trip to a local farm which also had a pool.
Waiting for the tour of the farm
Calf petting
POOL TIME! As you might be able to tell it was a blast for all of them.
That looks like a very successful camp! Nice cute kids! Great job Erica et al.
